Hey world! Well we have proven that we are not effective bloggers.
We are in Knoxville and still trying to get our house finished!
Caleb is doing well and has a very rich vocabulary at 15 months. He can say I appreciate it. At first it was a joke where he copied his Grandpa but he has used the phrase on his own and in proper context. We are clearly the proud parents who love to celebrate our baby boy!
Cheryl has settled into TN and is making great friends.
I am on the verge of being able to make an announcement regarding employment.
I will see you all in another 6 months.

Way Overdue
I am never going to make money as a blogger. The secret to a successful blog is frequent updates with interesting content. I won't comment on the content but I can for certain say this is not frequently updated!
Cheryl, Caleb and I are now getting settled into Knoxville. Our house is still not yet begun. We have been interviewing a variety of workers trying to find the right one before we trust someone with our nest egg. We don't want to get half way through the job only to find out they didn't bid out the real cost of the work.
I am looking for work in the worst economy sense I was a small boy. That clearly means that God is in charge of providing for our family. I will do the work but in this environment it will take an act of God to provide the job.
Along those lines there is a very cool possibility emerging that would put me right back in the family business of real estate. Unfortunately I can't say much about it now but if it comes together I will have work for the next 10 years of my life!

Down South Again
It seems transition is the constant state that Cheryl and I find ourselves in!
As many of you know we were able to buy a house in Knoxville and planned to move there. Well the move is almost over. Tonight we went to the shipping company in Knoxville to pick up the personal stuff we shipped down this way.
We are staying with Mom while we work on getting our house ready to move into and there are lots of decisions to be made on that project.
Please pray for wisdom in what work to do. We want to make this a good investment as well as make a home we can enjoy.
Also please pray for a job to come Kevin's way. We moved with a budget and the plan that Kevin's initial work would be as general contractor on our home and so we have room to wait. However we could accomplish so much more and have a greater sense of peace if Kevin could be bringing in some income while managing construction.
We don't simply want to jump and pursue a make work position. We moved to Knoxville because we sensed God calling us to help with the building of his community here. We think this will involve Church development and could involved the marketplace as well. Please pray that we understand all of this and see how God would use us vocationally to build his Kingdom in South Knoxville.
